WHAT IS PLANETA?
Planeta empowers communities through a collective dedication to creating safe and immersive spaces that center queer joy and uplift QTBIPOC folks through performance, dance, art therapy, and resource distribution. These spaces serve as intersections for generating and preserving cultural memory by building community, utilizing the arts, and performance as tools of liberatory change. These multisensorial spaces utilize audio, visual, and tactile experiences to placemake, challenging the baseline for what we should expect from gathering spaces by encouraging people to connect to and honor their mind, body and spirit.
